Amazon Web Services

Cloud that scales up, bills that don't

We design, migrate, build and run workloads on AWS — secure by default, automated end to end and tuned so you pay for what you actually use.

AWS CONSULTING & DEVELOPMENT

Architects, engineers and operators

TECHTARN provides AWS consulting and development services for startups and enterprises in the USA, UK, UAE, India, Canada, Australia and Singapore. Our AWS engineers design Well-Architected systems, migrate existing workloads and build serverless and container-based applications.

Everything is defined as code and delivered through CI/CD from our cloud & DevOps team. We run Kubernetes on EKS, build APIs in Node.js and Python, and host SaaS products. Multi-cloud? We also work with Azure and Google Cloud.

WELL-ARCHITECTED

Six pillars hold up every workload

We design and review against AWS's Well-Architected Framework. Pick a pillar to see what it means.

Your workload

Operational excellence: Automate changes, monitor everything and learn from incidents.

Security: Protect data and systems with least privilege and encryption.

Reliability: Recover quickly from failure with multi-AZ design and backups.

Performance efficiency: Use the right resources and keep reviewing them.

Cost optimisation: Pay only for what delivers value, and keep checking.

Sustainability: Use resources efficiently to reduce environmental impact.

MIGRATION

The 6 Rs of moving to AWS

Not every application should move the same way. We sort each one into the right strategy.

RehostLift and shift as-is.
ReplatformSmall tweaks, like managed databases.
RefactorRe-architect for cloud-native.
RepurchaseMove to a SaaS product.
RetireSwitch off what nobody uses.
RetainKeep it where it is, for now.
SECURITY

Who secures what?

AWS is responsible for the security of the cloud — buildings, hardware and the virtualisation layer. You are responsible for security in the cloud — your data, accounts, network rules and applications.

That second half is where most breaches happen, and where we help: least-privilege IAM, encryption, logging, guardrails and regular reviews.

INTERACTIVE · COST SAVER

Switch off what nobody is using

Development and test environments often run all week but are only used in working hours. Enter your numbers to see the saving from scheduling them.

Running time saved0%
Saving per month$0
Saving per year$0

Simple math: hours not needed ÷ 168 hours in a week. Applies to compute that can be stopped; storage still costs while stopped.

techtarn — faq
$ why-choose-aws--help
Why choose AWS?

AWS offers the widest range of cloud services, regions worldwide and mature tooling. It suits most workloads, from startups to large enterprises. We also work with Azure and Google Cloud.

$ how-do-you-migrate-to-aws--help
How do you migrate to AWS?

We assess each application, choose a strategy from the 6 Rs, plan the move in waves and test before switching over. See the migration strategies above.

$ how-can-we-lower-our-aws-bill--help
How can we lower our AWS bill?

Rightsize resources, switch off non-production when it is not used, use Savings Plans and Spot where safe, and tier storage. Try the scheduling calculator above.

$ serverless-or-containers--help
Serverless or containers?

Serverless suits event-driven and spiky workloads with little ops effort. Containers suit long-running services and teams that want more control. Many systems use both.

$ do-you-use-infrastructure-as-code--help
Do you use infrastructure as code?

Yes — Terraform or AWS CDK, so every environment is repeatable, reviewed and version-controlled.

$ is-aws-secure--help
Is AWS secure?

AWS secures the cloud itself; you secure what you put in it. We set up IAM, encryption, logging and guardrails — see the shared responsibility model.

$ can-you-help-with-compliance--help
Can you help with compliance?

Yes — we design for frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS and SOC 2, using AWS controls, logging and evidence collection.

$ do-you-provide-ongoing-support--help
Do you provide ongoing support?

Yes — monitoring, alerts, patching, backups, cost reviews and on-call support under a managed plan.

$ can-you-build-ai-features-on-aws--help
Can you build AI features on AWS?

Yes — with Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker and your own data. See our integration work.

$ do-you-work-with-kubernetes-on-aws--help
Do you work with Kubernetes on AWS?

Yes — EKS with autoscaling, observability and GitOps. See our Kubernetes page.
