The IoT stack

Five layers from the sensor to the screen

Data climbs from the device, through the network and gateway, into the cloud and out to the people who act on it. We build and connect every layer.

Connectivity

Pick the network that fits the job

Every option trades range, battery life and data rate. We test on site and choose the one that keeps devices online at the lowest running cost. Positions are indicative.

  • BLE Short range, very low power
  • Wi-Fi Indoor, high data, higher power
  • Zigbee Mesh for buildings
  • LoRaWAN Kilometres of range, tiny data
  • NB-IoT / LTE-M Cellular, low power, deep coverage
  • 4G / 5G Cellular, high data, video
Live dashboard

See every asset, and get warned before it fails

Readings stream into a dashboard in real time. When a value drifts past its limit, the right person gets an alert, and a work order can open in your ERP automatically. Sample motor.

What does unplanned downtime cost you?

Set the number of machines, unplanned downtime, the cost of an hour of downtime and the reduction you expect from condition monitoring, to see yearly savings. Figures are illustrative.

Edge AI

Decide on the spot, send only what matters

Machine learning models run on the gateway or device, spot problems in milliseconds and send summaries instead of raw streams, which cuts data costs and keeps working when the network drops.

Security and updates

Secure on day one, still secure on day one thousand

Every device has its own identity, talks only over encrypted channels and receives signed updates rolled out in stages: a few devices first, then the whole fleet.

FAQ

IoT development questions

Straight answers to what manufacturers and operators ask us most.

What IoT services do you provide?

End-to-end IoT: hardware selection and prototyping, firmware, connectivity, edge gateways and edge AI, cloud IoT platforms, dashboards and mobile apps, integration with ERP and other systems, OTA updates, security and ongoing support.

Which connectivity should we use?

It depends on range, power and data. BLE and Wi-Fi suit short range, Zigbee suits building meshes, LoRaWAN and NB-IoT suit long range with small data and long battery life, and 4G or 5G suits high data such as video. We test on site before choosing.

Do you design hardware?

We select and integrate off-the-shelf modules and sensors, build prototypes, and work with hardware partners for custom PCBs and enclosures when needed.

Which cloud platforms do you use?

AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub and open-source stacks using MQTT, time-series databases and Kubernetes, chosen for your scale, budget and data residency needs.

How do you keep IoT devices secure?

Unique device certificates, encrypted communication, secure boot, signed over-the-air updates, least-privilege access and monitoring for unusual behaviour.

What is edge AI?

Running machine learning models on the device or gateway, for example to spot a failing motor from vibration, so decisions happen in milliseconds and less data goes to the cloud.

Can IoT data feed our ERP?

Yes. Readings, counts and alerts can create work orders, update stock or trigger quality checks in your ERP through APIs.

How long does an IoT project take?

A pilot typically takes about 12 to 15 weeks, including hardware, firmware, cloud and a dashboard. Scaling to a full fleet follows the pilot.
