🦘 MLM compensation plans · Australian binary (2-up)
Your first two sales go to the sponsor who trained you. From sale three, everything is yours, and each person you train passes their first two sales up to you. It's a binary that pays for teaching, not just recruiting. See it move, try the calculator, then launch it on software built to your rules.
Sales 1 and 2 pass up to your sponsor. Sales 3 to 10 and beyond are yours. Hover a sale.
The name is used for two different plans. Switch between them to see how each pays.
A normal two-leg binary tree, plus pass-ups. Each new member's first two sales go to their sponsor. Pairing pays on matched left and right volume. This is the version on our MLM plan explorer.
Some vendors use the name for a binary with a third leg that needs no matching. Commission is based on total volume across left, right and third legs, so less volume is wasted. Not the same as a standard binary.
Move the sliders. See what you pass up, what you keep, the pass-ups you receive from people you train, and your pairing bonus. Use your own figures.
Assumes each person you train makes at least two sales. Example figures only.
Same team, three plans. A standard binary pays only on the matched part of your two legs. The three-leg version also counts the third leg. Hover a bar.

Cash, trips or titles for reaching team volume targets.
It suits companies that want leaders to train people properly. New members need to understand the pass-ups up front.
Regulators such as the US FTC look at whether pay comes from real sales or from recruiting. Explain pass-ups clearly and tie them to product orders. Laws differ by country, so please get legal advice.

Most often it means a 2-up plan built on a binary tree. Your first two sales are passed up to your sponsor. From your third sale onward, the sales and recruits are yours, and each person you train passes their first two sales up to you. Pairing on matched left and right volume works as in a normal binary.
The pass-ups pay the sponsor for training you. It means sponsors earn most from teaching new people to make their first sales, rather than only from recruiting.
Yes. Some software vendors use the name for a three-leg binary, where you build a left, right and third leg and the third leg needs no matching. Commission is based on total volume rather than only matched volume. Always check which version a plan means.
A standard binary pays on matched volume from day one. The 2-up version adds pass-ups, so new members give up their first two sales but later receive pass-ups from their own recruits. The three-leg version adds a third leg that doesn't need matching.
Usually they earn retail profit if they sell to a customer, but the commission goes to the sponsor. Some plans pay a small part to the new member. We can set this in the software.
It can be when income comes from real product sales to real customers, not recruiting fees. Pass-up plans have been used by long-running companies, but laws differ by country, so please get legal advice. Our software supports sales-only payouts, refunds and income disclosures.
Yes. The number of sales passed up is a setting. Fewer pass-ups favour new members, and more favour sponsors.
Usually about 7–8 weeks, including tests that simulate pass-ups across deep teams. This is an estimate.
Yes. Common hybrids add unilevel levels on product sales, or a matching bonus on top of the binary pairing.
