The right MTC, attached automatically

Certificates are uploaded once per heat. The ERP checks the chemistry and mechanical values against the ordered grade and attaches the matching MTC to every dispatch. Values shown are a sample.

FAQ

Metal processing ERP questions

Straight answers to what metal companies ask us most.

What is a metal processing ERP?

An ERP built for companies that buy, process and sell metal by weight: it tracks coils, sheets and bars by heat number, links mill test certificates, costs jobs per kg including scrap and yield, controls slitting, cutting and fabrication on the shop floor, and handles quality and dispatch.

How does heat-number traceability work?

Each incoming coil or bar is tagged with its heat number and MTC. Every slit, cut or fabricated piece inherits that heat, so any finished item can be traced back to the mill and its certificate in seconds.

Can it print mill test certificates with dispatches?

Yes. MTCs are stored per heat and attached automatically to packing lists and invoices, in formats such as EN 10204 3.1.

How is weight-based costing calculated?

Cost per kg combines the base metal price, processing charges (slitting, cutting, bending), freight, and yield loss, minus the value of saleable scrap. Quotes update when metal prices change.

Does it track scrap and offcuts?

Yes. Offcuts are weighed and stored with dimensions and heat numbers for reuse; scrap is graded and its sale value credited back to job costs.

Can it connect to weighbridges and machines?

Yes. We integrate weighbridges, barcode/RFID printers and machine PLCs for live weights and run status.

Is it GST and e-way bill ready?

Yes, for Indian operations it handles GST invoicing and e-way bills, and supports other tax systems for international sites.

How long does implementation take?

Usually about 8 to 12 weeks for a single plant, including coil tagging, integrations, training and a pilot line.
